Arsenal have just sealed the signing for English attacking midfielder / left winger Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace £60 million. The England international was in talks with Arsenal’s rivals Tottenham Hotspur for quite a while but just as Spurs had prepared a package, the gunners swooped in with an offer and as Eze preferred the move to Arsenal, the deal was completed. A huge signing for the reigning Premier League runners-up and will greatly strengthen their team, with the versatility to slot in at left wing and attacking midfield. Spurs, though, will have to search the market for yet another attacking midfield option after the calamitous collapse of Morgan Gibbs-White and now Eze. Eze would be a strong candidate to start for the gunners, considering the price and stature of the player, likely in the left side of attack. Should their be injuries in attacking midfield, he could also slot in and leaves so much versatility for Arsenal. Havertz’ injury from this week could be an element that factored into Eze’s signing. One thing is for certain: this is a huge signing for Arsenal and everyone will be watching to see how he fares.
