Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has left the football club effective immediately, in the buildup to their clash with Manchester City in the coming days. The manager was relatively successful, winning the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Conference League, but nothing major to his name in his short time with the club. He’d made public statements about the club that may have been seen as abrasive, possibly being a contributor to his removement. The next manager is rumored to be a permanent installment rather than an interim. Additionally, Chelsea will hope to bring in someone more docile and willing to go with the decisions of the board, a puppet if you will. Maresca’s next job is a mystery, but it doesn’t seem as if he has a club in the waiting.
